A Night With Unadorned Magazine & Tre Rivali
Last night I arrived in the gorgeous Milwaukee for an amazing event with Unadorned Magazine. The event was to highlight the launch of their second magazine issue. Even though I arrived a few hours late, I had a little too much fun. There were AMAZING bridal dresses on display, and there was amazing food and flower crowns available.
Have a look at some photos below.
I wanted to wear something classy but chic to the event. I did a lot of hi-low mixing with this look. My ruffle fringed skirt is from one of my favorite brands Dainty Jewells. I paired it with a tie top from boohoo and clear sandals from Forever 21. When I first wore the skirt, I knew something was missing from the overall look, so I chose to add in a striped belt from Eloquii. The best part is that you cannot tell that the belt is not a part of the skirt. I always encourage you to take chances mixing things.
After the event, Tino and I went to dinner at the swanky Tre Rivali restaurant. This gorgeous restaurant is nested in the JourneyMen Hotel. It featured an amazing range of small plates as well as larger meals and drinks.
For appetizers, I had the Gulf Shrimp as my appetizer - full of flavor, sautéed in butter and anchovies. I usually hate anchovies but my life has officially changed. Tina had the chicken liver mousse. I am not a liver fan so I didn't try it, but the bread was so amazing. (we had four rounds...shamelessly)
For my main course I had the pork belly carbonara which was so good that I ate it all before I could even take a photo. TIno had the pork chop which was actually even better than we could have imagined. There was enough food to go between both of us, and we literally had to force room for dessert.
For dessert I opted for a clean lemon sorbet to cleanse my palette, and Tino opted for banana mousse which she said was her absolute favorite item on the menu.
I truly wish I could take this restaurant back to Chicago.
Here are some style notes for my outfit
The skirt - I am wearing a 2x and the waistline was definitely a little bigger for me, having the belt was a savior. The skirt has stretch in it so don't be afraid to size down.
The top - I have on a US 16, it has stretch in it.
The belt - I have on a 16/18
