This Dress is Bananas
This past weekend, Chicago had a freakishly warm day, so I grabbed the team and we set out to shoot some of my favorite looks for spring. I fell in love with this striped dress from Banana Republic when I saw it pop up on their Instagram. It is a very chic take on the shirt dress and it is curve friendly. I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to dress it up or down…so I did both!!!
Dressed Down Version
I usually do not like to wear flat shoes in my posts because I only wear flats on my blogging days off. BUT!!!!! I fell in love with these driver loafers from Kasa Shoes. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the founders, George, when he was in Chicago and he gifted me these amazing loafers in my favorite color!!! What I love about these was how they bring together modern style, rooted with elements of the Ghanaian culture.
I also added in a new necklace from Good Danger Shoppe’s new accessory line to break up the monotony of the stripes. Trust me when I say that there is never ever enough blue in one outfit.
Dressed up version
I paired the dress with JCrew Nude suede pumps and added a bit of pop with an Ankara print bag from Oheneba Accessories. I have had this bag for years, and I am so glad I finally had the chance to style it.
All in all, this dress is perfect for whatever your style is. The only challenge is that it only goes up to a 16, but definitely has stretch room! Get it, and all the other elements by shopping the links below.
