Traveling in Style this 2017
Happy New year!! What better place to write this post than Terminal 5 at London Heathrow, where I am nearing the final minutes of my 8 hour layover. Would you believe me if I said I am feeling well rested, fed and refreshed??
If your New Years resolutions are anything close to mine, then there will be several more airports and layovers in your near future. As I went through last year, I made a list of all the travel things that made my life so much easier. Hopefully this list is super helpful to you as well.
PS - if you see something you like, click the images to shop the specific item.
If you ever follow my snap travels, you will notice that I wear the EXACT same thing. This has become my travel uniform for the last 3 years (yes i have had the same one). This looks super chic, but feels like pajamas!
No matter where you travel, this is a great investment. This annual membership gives you access to thousands of lounges all over the world. I have used it on every trip and avoided travel stress. On my recent heathrow layover, I took a shower, a long nap in my own room and had great food to eat!
This is my work, gym and travel bag. I have used this for 6 months now and it is such an amazing investment. There is enough room for your shoes, laptop, water bottle, cellphone, folded jacket etc
This is my favorite choice when it comes to hand luggage. Some fun things about it: It charges, which means it charges all my devices!!!! It has bluetooth which means I can track it from the app on my phone (no one is stealing this at the airport), and lastly it weighs itself so no more surprise baggage fees!
I am quite the antisocial traveller. I don't want to hear anyone, or screaming babies...sorry. This literally cuts out ALLLL the sounds from around you. It also has bluetooth, so no getting tangled in my braids (yes this has happened before)
My travel life is spent entirely on snapchat, and unfortunately it is a blessing when my battery is higher than 10%! sigh. Get yourself one of these and be better than me!!!
If you follow my snapchat, you have seen me RAVE about this curler. YEs, this is the one that moves automatically. I have taken this on all my trips across continents, and it comes in VERY VERY handy. Plus, it is CHI so the quality is not questionable.
If you are like me, you always have stuffed boarding passes, receipts and gum in your bag. This is one of the things I wish I had last year, and is on my list of things to buy ASAP
This came in handy while I waltzed from Ghana, to Germany and then Lebanon. Its is usually hard to keep track of which adapter I need for which trip. This one comes with EVERYTHING, and even has a port for USB which I love.
