The Confidence of Stripes - Featuring JCPenney x Ashley Nell Tipton

So apparently, it is not advisable to wear horizontal stripes as a bigger woman. Why? Because they make you look wider. Okay....and here is my opinion....because that is why you came here isn't it?

When I first selected this outfit from the new Ashley Nell Tipton collection, I was a bit skeptical. I honestly did ask myself if it was smart to wear horizontal stripes. But I had to take a second and remind myself who would actually be wearing the outfit....ME! Who would look in the mirror and need to be happy with what they saw....ME!

A lot of times we tend to dress based on how we want others to see us...and that my darlings is the biggest mistake. I am all here for trends, and dressing to suit your body. But I still believe that this has to be your personal decision on what suits your own body...and no one else's.

This outfit holds an extra special place in my heart, because it was designed specially for curvy women by Ashley Nell Tipton. As you all may know, the project runway winner, has partnered with JCPenney to create a collection for their Boutique+ line. This collection has made waves, and I enjoyed watching it live streamed from New York Fashion week.

Shop this look below, and make sure to check out the behind the scenes of the new collection via the link below. Prices range from $15 to $75, so there is something for everyone!
